Here are a few sample sound files to give you an idea of what we sound like. All are in RealMedia (.rm) format, your browser should be able to play these, or find the plug-in you need. Any problems, try downloading and installing the latest version of Real Player from the Real Web-Site.

One of our favourite songs, the gentle Balkan love song Plovi Barko.

Something more fun is the African pop-song Ngirigiri. The instrument at the start of this song is an Mbira, or thumb-piano.

Back to Medieval Europe, for the drinking song Tourdion.

And south to Corsica for the haunting 19th century anti-war song, Mama Risponde.

Back to Africa for a warning song about the dangers of too much 'fun' too young, Icala.

And for a menacing work song from South Africa, We Majola.

A children's game from East Africa, good for workshops especially for those with clean socks: Bombela. (You might have to come along to one of our workshops to work out what this refers to. Please come along with clean socks.)

Across to West Africa for an appeal to the god Eshu, Bara Su Waiyo.

And back to Europe for the Balkan harvesting song, Polegala.

Lastly, a lively song from Zimbabwe, all about how preferable alcohol is to the company of women: Vamudara.
